Stacey Pineau

With 25 years of experience providing counsel and services to corporations, educational institutions, non-profits and government, I help my clients provide clear and relevant information to stakeholders.

My recent work has included community engagement and communications work for an innovative renewable energy initiative. I’ve also served as the communications lead and media spokesperson for a community engagement initiative involving purchasing residential properties and supporting the owners and their families through a relocation process.

I’ve written detailed communications strategies in addition to preparing content for websites and blogs and coordinating competitive intelligence research reports. Since 2009, I’ve managed daily summaries capturing media coverage related to an international energy firm and its North American and Caribbean subsidiaries.

For several years, I worked as a member of the community relations team for a proposed pipeline project. I also consulted as senior communications counsel for a subsea transmission line and spent close to 10 years as a consulting member of the communications team for an electrical utility.

In a past agency consulting role, I fully re‐worked the crisis communications plan for an airline and collaborated in providing crisis media training to company leadership from across the country and provided communications support and counsel to a number of energy firms. I’ve also served as media relations manager for a large university, acting as the institution’s primary spokesperson and working on a daily basis with members of the media from across the region and around the world. In another past role, over the course of nearly six years I served as primary media contact and spokesperson, handled internal communications, and worked on a project team that developed a strategic business plan for the organization’s largest division.

I have a Bachelor of Public Relations (Co‐operative Education Option, ‘94) from Mount Saint Vincent University in Halifax and have completed the coursework for Dalhousie University’s Master of Electronic Commerce degree. I have previously served on several non-profit boards and currently volunteer as a delivery driver with Meals on Wheels.
